About Copy Barney
With 30 years experience selling to the UK Grocery & Independent Retail and Wholesale Sectors, I mastered the art of getting brands noticed and navigating the entire sales process from creating compelling proposals and pitching, to closing the deal and building the range for sales growth.
After mastering the art of persuasive selling using all the tools available including market data, category management, trade marketing, and other industry secrets, I became disenchanted working for the big guys.
I saw the retail sector was becoming an oligopoly, and those few multinational corporations dominating the food industry were much more focused on delivering dividends than operating ethically and sustainably.
I decided to use my sales super powers for good, and started working for smaller brands from Start Ups to SMEs, to help them fight for their fair share of the shelf, and I haven't looked back since.
In 2024 I was asked to help a client launch a product, and manage their sales, digital marketing, and customer communications. I had to enlist some creative professionals to help, and Copy Barney was born..

Without an instantly recognisable brand, backed by a 7-figure advertising campaign, it became clear that I needed to help them work smarter to get noticed by retail buyers. I specialised in creative selling, focusing on impactful copy writing, digital marketing and email campaigns. Using these skills, I have helped SMEs and their challenger brands grow existing sales, and win £millions of new business.
